This Holiday Refund Pays You When Family Drama Strikes - detail

On the Beach has done something rather clever – and refreshingly honest.

The brand announced on Instagram a refund policy "for when the family chat goes nuclear."

Here's what happened. The Beckham family had a very public falling out. On the Beach noticed. And they created what they're calling the "Family Fallout Refund" – the "Beckham clause."

It works like this: if someone in your group backs out because of a domestic drama, you can claim a refund on their share of the hotel. The rest of you won't be stuck paying for an empty bed.

One small catch. The drama must happen at least 60 days before you fly.

"The Beckham clause is there for those moments when someone decides they'd rather cool off at home than by the pool," said Zoe Harris, Chief Customer Officer at On the Beach.

The clause covers all new and existing bookings departing by 31 August 2026.

Family holiday meltdowns, it seems, have finally met their match.
